We want you to be completely happy with your purchase from The Gig Bag. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll do our best to sort it out quickly and fairly.
1. Change of Mind Returns
You’re welcome to cancel your online order and return an item within 10 calendar days of receiving it—no questions asked.
- We’ll refund the full purchase price of the item (excluding delivery costs) within 7 days of receiving it back at our offices.
- Items must be returned in their original packaging and in unused, “as new” condition.
- Return shipping costs (and any associated risks) are your responsibility and will be deducted from your refund.
Please note: certain items cannot be returned due to hygiene or intellectual property reasons. These include:
- Reeds, mouthpieces, headphones, earphones, microphones
- Brass and woodwind instruments
- Books, sheet music, and software (unless unopened and still sealed)
2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
We take quality and accuracy seriously. If you receive a product that is:
- Faulty or defective, let us know within 5 calendar days of delivery.
- Incorrect, or not what you ordered, report it within 24 hours.
- Damaged in transit, report it within 24 hours.
Once approved for return, we’ll arrange one of the following (based on your original delivery method):
- A courier collection from your address,
- A request for you to post it back to us, or
- Instructions to return the item in person to our warehouse.
If you’re returning something yourself, make sure to:
- Package it securely to prevent any damage in transit.
- Include a copy of your original invoice.
If the item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, or incorrect, The Gig Bag will cover all return shipping costs.
3. Packaging & Return Condition
No matter the reason for the return, the item must be:
- In its original packaging
- Sealed and protected properly for transport
Any damage that occurs due to poor packaging—including to the product’s retail/display box—may result in a partial refund.
4. Legal Stuff (But Still Friendly)
This returns policy is aligned with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). As a customer, you are entitled to:
- Inspect delivered goods within a reasonable time;
- Return goods that are defective, unsafe, or not as advertised;
- Cancel your order and receive a full refund under certain conditions (excluding delivery fees and subject to product condition).
All refunds are processed back to your original payment method. We reserve the right to inspect all returned itemsbefore issuing any refund or exchange.
